Year over year, spring fashion is marked by a definitive use of florals. While florals will always be iconic, it's fun to reinvent the wheel and go for the unexpected. In San Diego, I wore a t-shirt from Portland Gear that's emblazoned with two roses, serving as my nod to spring's signature print. I love the tattoo-like rendering of these flowers against the heather gray backdrop of this comfy, casual tee.
With my Portland Gear tee as the focal point, I layered my look with one of my new favorite items: a denim jacket from Calvin Klein Jeans. This jacket features the brand's timeless logo on the buttons, giving it such a throwback vibe that I love. I added some pure white adidas shoes to this outfit for a continually fresh aesthetic. When the sun was just bright enough, I would pop out my Saint Laurent sunnies to complete the ensemble.
As much as the conceptually-drawn roses on this shirt are a surprising way to wear florals, I thought wearing some Portland pride in Southern California was even more unexpected. I think it's fun to wear a little piece of your background whilst traveling, especially if that little piece of your background is irrefutably stylish.
