After becoming somewhat of a self-proclaimed brunch connoisseur (trust me, living in Portland is solely responsible for this), it only seemed appropriate to broaden my brunch horizons while in Seattle for my birthday. Tucked away in one of the Emerald City's trendiest neighborhoods is the rustic, celebrated Oddfellows Cafe + Bar.
Oddfellows Cafe + Bar resides in a bespoke building that's over one-hundred years old, automatically giving the restaurant an authentically vintage vibe. Brunch-goers can expect to find everything from chalkboard menus to Americana accents at this Capitol Hill hotspot. My mom, sister and I found our table to have perfect selfie lighting, so that's an instantaneous plus in my black book of brunch spots.
There's nothing on the menu at Oddfellows that isn't delicious. The Brioche French Toast is generously gigantic and the Eggs Benedict is easily an excellent choice. I recommend ordering Beignets, a powdered sugar French pastry served with jam, as a starter. As if a satisfying meal wasn't enough, Oddfellows leaves its customers with a parting postcard to remember the experience by. All in all, my birthday brunch was nothing short of a scrumptious success.
