Today is International Coffee Day, and unlike most random insignificant holidays, this one holds a dear place in my heart (and stomach). The amount of coffee I consume is utterly ridiculous when I start to think about it. I inherited this lovely addiction from my parents, one of whom consumes four to five cups a day. I keep my consumption rated down to once or twice a day, but even that is expensive. Pumpkin Spice Lattes don't come cheap.
I really do love the taste of coffee, and I've been lucky enough to try it in so many different places. I wouldn't call myself a connoisseur or anything, but I definitely appreciate a well made cup of Joe. I'm not the only one who's dedicated an entire portion of their diet to this drink though, so be inspired by the quotes I've included with the my own expressive moments of espresso.
"I have measured out my life with coffee spoons."
- T.S. Eliot
"Coffee is a language in itself."
- Jackie Chan
"I can't imagine a day without coffee. I can't imagine!"
- Howard Schultz
“As long as there was coffee in the world, how bad could things be?”
- Cassandra Clare, City of Ashes
Coffee tastes better when you're drinking it with your best friend.
