Like my last guilty pleasures post, this is another collection of media that's currently inspiring me and keeping me distracted from real life. Funny how in my last guilty pleasures post I was trying to keep my mind diverted from finding a job, and now I finally have one! These pieces of entertainment are perfect to enjoy on my commute or just before I go to bed.
I love Nylon for Guys because it's an urban magazine that showcases looks that are a little more attainable for a college graduate like myself than some of the outfits in an issue of Esquire. This month's issue features interviews with Usher, Tyler the Creator, and, my favorite, Douglas Booth. Douglas is a British actor appearing in the upcoming blockbuster Noah with Emma Watson. He is also #ManCrushMonday material waiting to happen.
The 1975 became the soundtrack to my summer ever since I heard "Chocolate." This record is everything you want from a summer album: upbeat, edgy and addicting. Take a listen to all my favorite summer songs here.
Another pleasure I'm definitely feeling guilty of is indulging in Kim Kardashian's iPhone game. I'm always playing this game any free chance I get so I can gain virtual fans, upgrade to mega mansions in digital Kardashianland and date my super hot cyber boyfriend. I clearly need a life.
If you aren't reading The Fault In Our Stars this summer, what are you even doing with your life (other than trying to beat me at Kim Kardashian: Hollywood)? I'm always wary about books that are hyped up, but since John Green is a really credible author, I knew this book would be amazing. I'm only about fifty pages in but I'm already obsessed. Hazel Grace's romance with Augustus Waters is so real and authentic, it doesn't read like a maudlin, mushy teen novel.
Last summer I was all about The Great Gatsby, and this summer I'm still all about The Great Gatsby. I bought the movie on DVD recently and will most likely watch it five times this summer at the very least.
