There are a lot of things that make Seattle special, but I think one of its (not so) hidden gems is Molly Moon's Homemade Ice Cream. I went to the Wallingford location with my friend the other day to marvel over the many flavors of ice cream they have. Most of them are pretty wacky.
I've lived here long enough to try most of the flavors, and "Salted Caramel" is definitely my favorite. Molly Moon's is probably the only place you can get "Habanero Cookie Dough" or "Balsamic Strawberry." The tamer options like "Earl Grey" (the tea) and "Honey Lavender" are easily enjoyed by cautious taste buds. This time around I had "Vanilla Bean."
Molly Moon's ice cream is so creamy and delicious that Seattleites and tourists alike clamor for the confection with a dedicated fervor. Not to mention the scoopers are always friendly and energetic. It didn't surprise me to see that the shop had a line almost out the door on a Thursday afternoon. Get in line now and I promise you'll be coming back for more!
