Even in a place like Seattle, sunglasses are a summer style must have. Picking the perfect specs is no easy feat because you have to find frames that compliment your face and fit well. Luckily for you, Warby Parker offers a unique home try-on experience. The almost exclusively online only retailer lets you choose your top five favorite pieces of eyewear off their website to try on in the comfort of your own abode. The process is easy, painless and free, although choosing only five glasses out of all the amazing options was a struggle for me.
I started my eyewear experience with the Beckett in striped evergreen. These classic frames are perfect for medium-sized faces, which must mean I have a big head (stop laughing so hard), because they were a little on the tight side. When picking out frames, always keep an eye on the measurements of the bridge, temple arm and lens.
The Percey in a charcoal fade is totally on trend this summer. Rounded frames give any outfit a sixties edge. They're basically the new hipster glasses, so pair them with tribal prints and offbeat colors. I love the black to near translucent fade these specs have.
The Ellison in whiskey turquoise is an amazing amber addition to a prep's wardrobe. These glasses are ready for the hustle and bustle of a summer day in the city. Pair them with pastel shorts, a button down and some boat shoes and you're all set.
One of my absolute favorites is the Everett in marine slate. These large lenses are ideal for truly blocking out any potential sunlight and keeping your retinas stylishly safe. The color makes them a trendsetting final touch to a neutral ensemble.
Last but not least is the Ames in graphite fog. I love that these frames take inspiration from Ray Ban's Clubmaster frames, but Warby Parker's design is even cooler. You can't go wrong with black frames because they go with every outfit, from an everyday getup to a svelte suit.
