For those lucky enough to have a ticket to a musical festival like Coachella or Bonnaroo, make sure to take advantage of the outfit opportunities that come with it. Festivals are a unique experience where fashion and music collide for some truly stage-worthy style. Coachella is known for breeding boho beauties and tribal trends, two fashion focal points that have found their way into just about every major retailer.
It's hard to avoid the creative concert clothing campaigns that flood my bloglovin' feed and email inbox. So instead of jealously hitting delete, I've joined the fashion frenzy. Here are some event ensembles I've pulled from my favorite online shopping sites for concert-goers and those who want to mimic their style (myself included).
There's something undeniably American about going to a music festival with your friends, not that I would know from experience. But these pieces from Revolve Man Coachella Essentials and JackThreads Music Festival Survival Kit definitely work for an all-American look while you're soaking up sun and sounds in SoCal. The pinstriped neutral shorts will transition their way into your summer wardrobe and let the tribal print shoes steal the show.
A coral-colored bralette and high-waisted shorts from American Eagle are simple essentials that will last long after the final musician plays. Wearing boots to a music festival is always a good idea because there's a 100% guarantee your feet will get stepped on. Keep your feet fashionably protected with these floral Doc Martens. A floppy wide brimmed hat is a Coachella staple, but this parlor hat alternative will look much more unique in a sea of Vanessa Hudgens wannabes. If your eyes are red for some weird reason (ask Molly), cover them up with these sweet specs. Take some more inspiration from Pose's Festival Outfit Ideas.
Forever 21 Men's Festival Collection is packed with prints and bright colors. This look is more indie rocker than anything else. A denim vest and a chunky ring are hard-edged pieces that take this shorts and shirt combo up a notch. An ensemble like this will easily get you mistaken for the lead singer of one of the bands in a festival.
If your not afraid to go all out, Forever 21's Bohemian Dreams collection goes bolder than any boho-inspired collection that's come before it. A music festival is your big chance to go over-the-top, so don't be afraid to layer on enough gold to make you shine brighter than any stage light. Plus this seductive maxi-dress will keep you cool for a non-stop day of flower child frolicking.
The H&M Loves Music collection has easily become a festival fan favorite with it's ever-changing take on traditional concert clothes. This year, H&M Loves Music focuses on EDM ensembles, much to the delight of demure DJs and brazen bloggers everywhere. Dream Koala sports an all black-and-white getup that's all about comfort. I'm not a big fan of his faded sweatpant shorts or his ombre jacket, so I paired the killer tank with mesh white sneakers and a pair of faded jeans.
Cate Underwood is the cool chick we all wish we could be. Luckily we can covet some her cool from the H&M Loves Music collection. This DJ-slash-model takes a crop top and layers it with flowing layers of chiffon. The getup is totally Coachella done New York style.
Which music festival are you attending this year and, more importantly, what will you be wearing? Let me know on Twitter!
