When I visited San Francisco two weeks ago, I was curious to uncover the style scene of the beautiful city. Among the shiny skyscrapers and bright bay were gorgeous advertisements for Banana Republic, a classic brand established there in 1978. The new Spring 2014 campaign centers around having true style and features three real-life couples. One of those couples is the notable designer Nate Berkus and his fiancé Jeremiah Brent. Banana Republic is the first brand to feature a same-sex couple in magazine advertisements. It's about time this happened, and what better brand than Banana Republic?
What I love about this Banana Republic look is the edgy mixing of prints with neutral essentials. A trench coat will keep you at a comfortable temperature whether you're experiencing the bay breeze of San Francisco or strolling the cool streets of Seattle this spring. These Ninah Pumps are adorable and available in a variety of colors. The Jess Striped Tote adds a nautical nuance to this ensemble. For those extra windy days, add the Geo Jacquard Scarf for some va va volume.
Juxtaposing denim against crisp chinos couldn't be more spring. As the weather warms, the Jamison Loafers will be perfect for happy hours and beach side parties. My favorite piece of this outfit is the ombre sweater jacket that transforms this understated model into a modern marvel. The comfy yet constructive jacket works with savvy shades of blue, so don't be afraid to compliment it with periwinkle or midnight navy.

Staying on the sporty trend, this Sloan Rugby Strip Sheath dress is just as sleek as it is versatile. Tying one of their denim shirts keep this look casual enough for daytime duties. The Daisey Sandal, Mari Sunglasses and Ashbury Tote makes this outfit even more flirty and feminine.
Red, white and blue are timeless colors that are best displayed as the spring sun shines. These Taylor Suede Oxfords are must-have shoes that inject some old time charm to just about any ensemble. Slightly worn indigo jeans are making a comeback this season too and seeing them paired with a brick red blazer is unique.
