When you're young, getting a new backpack for school is always exciting, at least it was for me. I've gone through so many backpacks over the years, from Disney-themed ones to a brief stint with a roller backpack (which did not help my social life at all during freshman year of high school). A backpack is the one necessary accessory that has closely followed my life.
My post-grad internship in Seattle with Edelman has found me wearing backpacks once more. This time, I've graduated from saggy Jansports and bulky messenger bags to go with a sleek bag by Everlane. The reversed denim and Italian leather of this piece make it the backpack of choice for the PR professional. I've received so many compliments on this bag already that I might just have to buy it in several more colors. I love that I can wear this bag with a simple summer outfit or a dressed up ensemble for work.
Edelman gave its employees the generous gift of a custom Burton backpack to celebrate and symbolize our physical office move to Westlake Tower by the end of November. I love the black waterproof material that makes this piece durable and demurely stylish.
GQ also has a great selection of backpacks for the office, showing that these shoulder slingers are respectably grown up. I'm obsessed with the two-toned one from Asos on the left and the leather option from Gap on the right. With luxe materials, neutral colors and clean construction, it's easy to make a backpack your wardrobe's best friend.
