One of my favorite shows is back on ABC Family and this time around the franchise is expanding out of the television world. The costume designer for Pretty Little Liars, Mandi Lane, has teamed up with teen fashion brand Aéropostale to offer a collection of clothing inspired by the four popular characters of the show. Even if you've never watched an episode of this teenage drama, you'll fall in love with the clothing.
Emily is one of my favorite characters on this show because she dresses with a sporty edge. This letterman style jacket is warm, versatile and powerful. The crisp brick red wool looks great with the leather sleeves. The best part of this jacket is that it turns into a vest by simply unzipping the sleeves. I love that Aéropostale paired this jacket with a gray and black palette. This look is great for going to school in.
Spencer's style is undoubtedly the most preppy. My favorite piece of this look is the navy blue faux leather skirt. While Spencer's fashion sense may only be applicable to Type A overachievers, this skirt can work with multiple styles. You can mix and match different pieces of this collection to create a hybrid of your favorite characters' styles. I think pairing this skirt with Aria's long sleeve crop top would be a more wearable outfit than the one pictured on this model.
On Pretty Little Liars, you can always expect a print, pattern or unique texture in Aria's wardrobe. This collection stays true to Aria's eclectic style. Crop tops have breezed their way in from summer and are still totally on trend. I love the idea of having a long sleeve crop top peek through a jacket. The zippers on the wrists of the sleeves add another ounce of cool detail to this garment. You can dress this top up with the pieces on this model or even with Spencer's faux leather skirt I mentioned before.
Hanna's style is flirty and feminine. Her character is often the comic relief of the show, but her clothes are far from laughable. This cropped blazer has an amazing fit for both professional and daily outfits. The royal blue lining inside can be shown off by rolling up the sleeves. Pairing this blazer with a dress is ideal for giving a class presentation, having a networking lunch or if you're just feeling a touch more productive than you normally are.
When you buy a piece from this collection, you get a free "Liars Unite" tank. Nothing sounds better than free clothes other than a marathon of Pretty Little Liars, am I right?
Whether you're an Aria, Hanna, Spencer or Emily (or all four on any given day) this collection has something for you. These pieces will keep you from making a fashion failure. We don't want "A" using that as blackmail against you now do we?
