The American Music Awards can either be extremely entertaining or dreadfully dull depending on the artists that attend. Last night there were amazing performances from Ariana Grande, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and Lady Gaga. The fashion from last night was on par with the performances, for the most part. The two main shades the stars wore were black or white, with some pops of color from some.
My favorite look of the night didn't come from a musician or actress, but rather Kardashian clan member. Kendall stunned with her extremely architectural two piece Keepsake ensemble. The sharp angles of the outfit looked amazing with her Dylanex statement necklace. I love that the only dose of color is on her lips. This look is flawless from her sleek hair to her nude heels.
The ARTPOP songstress stunned in a lavender Versace gown. Despite the fact Gaga was on a two-manned fake horse, this is her least outrageous look she's worn in years. The pastel colors flatter Gaga in a completely new light. I'm obsessed.
These five lads looked dashing in their color-coordinated outfits. This is their signature to all wear the same color palette and with them, it works magically. I'm totally loving Liam Payne's (middle) gray overcoat and patterned shirt combination. All of these boys look dapper, and three of them are even sporting beards for "No Shave November".
Heidi should really know better when it comes to dressing her body, she is a supermodel after all. I actually love the top portion of this dress, but the fringe actually looks like hair. I think this a 20s look gone wrong. This Brian Atwood design flops at being flapper fabulous. The accessories don't really do anything for this outfit either.
I don't know what it is, but women in the music industry love to dye their hair bright primary colors. I don't know, if I was a girl I wouldn't pick bright green. Nor would I match my hair to my outfit. But that's what Lil Mama did and I can't say it looks good.
This outfit is just no.
R. Kelly took layering for winter to a whole new level. Is it a skirt? Are they pants? Nobody knows what that layer of fabric on his waist is. The getup is tacky and shortens him by at least a foot. This is one of those moments where I wish R. Kelly stayed "Trapped In The Closet".
