You can't teach an old dog new tricks but you can always make fashion antiques look entirely new. I bought this Nordstrom blazer way back in freshman year ... of high school.
Surprisingly, it fits like a glove, everywhere but the sleeves. Still I scrunched them up to make the statement outerwear more casual. I paired the blazer with a H&M striped top which adds some visual interest to the getup.
I could have gone the boring route with simple khakis, but I don't do boring (neither should you). Instead I slipped into my skinny maroon chinos from Forever 21. For more casual emphasis I put on a leather bracelet from Hollister Co. Last but not least, I wore my favorite pair of suede Aldo boots.
Together, this outfit gives off a prep vibe that I love. It's funny that an old piece from my wardrobe that I used to wear out of necessity in high school, I now wear with pride today. Don't throw out anything that still fits my friends, you never know what you can do with it later on.
